Dynamic Gentle Chair Yoga: Hip Openers

Being in a chair for long periods of time is hard on the body. Tight hips is only one of many issues that can occur from too much sitting, but the chair in which you sit can be a means to accessing some simple, gentle hip-opening stretches. So slide your chair away from your desk, click here, and give this a try. You can comment right in YouTube or comment on this post and let me know how this little sequence feels. This 10-minute video is part 1 of hip openers, so stay tuned for another video with additional moves to get some movement into those hips.

  1. HI Rudy
I’ve been at my chair way more than usual and tried out this video. It’s a great break and helped release some tension. Will repeat frequently when I’m sitting.
Thanks for the great tips. Loved seeing Loki and hearing Joyce giving you cues. Too cute.
    Namaste, Beverley

    1. We made that video so long ago and have plans to re-record it, but that hasn’t risen to the top of the project list yet. We were such novices doing video back then. Not that we are professionals at this point, but we have come a long way! Glad you enjoyed those hip stretches, Beverley!
