An energizing and calming practice of breath and simple yoga stretches that support increased resilience, awareness, flexibility and strength. This entire gentle practice is done seated in a chair.
A nurturing accessible class that is typically a mix of seated and supported standing movements. Sometimes the full practice is seated. Rudy leads this chair yoga class in the Dynamic Gentle Yoga™ style that he created to make yoga do-able for beginners — or anyone who wants the deeper benefits of yoga — without any requirements of strength or flexibility.
This is a 90-minute Dynamic Gentle Yoga class that starts with accessible joint warm-ups, an invigorating breath practice, and an innovative gentle vinyasa flow for strengthening alignment precision. Continuing standing poses then establish well-stabilized balance, a floor sequence loosens hips and spine, followed by a restorative pose and guided deep relaxation. The class closes with a balancing breath practice and meditation, for which students may either stay on the mat or move to a chair.

These longer classes on selected Saturdays offer a spacious experience of progressive slow movements into accessible yoga postures, gentle breathing practices, deep healing relaxation, and meditation. The intention of each two-and-a-half hour class is to savor the subtleties of Dynamic Gentle Yoga.
